hdmi로 3D 즐기기(2010/3/5)

 

집안에서 방송 매체를 통하지 않고 3D 영화를 즐기려면 어떻게 해야 할까?

 

1. 3D TV --- network --- 3D Video file 재생,아마도 3D TV매장이나 전시회 같은데서 demo할때 사용하는 기법이다.

2. 3D TV  --- 3D 지원 Blu-ray, 이 방법이 가장 현실성이 높은 방법이다.

3. 3D TV  --- 3D 지원 AV receiver ---  3D 지원 Blu-ray, 영상과 더불어 음향도 high quality로 즐기고 싶다면 고려 가능한 방법이다.

 

 

위 2,3번의 경우 video 신호의 전달은 hdmi를 통해서 이루어지는데 3D video에 대한 정의는 hdmi 1.4 를 통해서 release되었다.

 

HDMI1.4에 규정된 3D video format:

    Frame packing,Line Alternative,Side-by-Side(Full),Side-by-Side(Half),Field Alternative,L+depth.L+depth+Graphics+Graphics-depth  총 7가지 이다.

 

이중에서 구현하기 가장 쉬운 방법은 Side-by-Side(Half)인데 hdmi 1.3 을 지원했던 chip maker들의 최대 bandwidth가 225Mhz인데

hdmi1.3 chip을 그대로 사용하고 video timming이 전혀 바뀌지 않으면서  3D를 구현할수 있기 때문이다. 아마도 2010년 초에 발매된

삼성(UN55C7000WF)이나 LG(LG 47LH503D) 3D TV는 Side-by-Side(Half) 만 지원하는것 같다.

--> 최근(2010/4/16)확인 결과 hdmi1.4에 충실하게 1080p24/720p60 frame packing을 지원함.(삼성 TV,t삼성 블루레이)

 

L+depth+Graphics+Graphics-depth 는 4배의 bandwidth를 필요로하고 Side-by-Side(Half)를 제외한 나머지 것들은 2배의 bandwidth를 필요로 한다.

 

현재 판매되고 있는 3D blu-ray player는 삼성  BD-C6900 인데 자세한 spec.은 알길이 없다.
